The Pittsburgh Public Works Department expects a portion of Noblestown Road in Crafton Heights that was closed after a landslide to reopen before Friday's afternoon rush hour.

Public Works Director Rob Kaczorowski said the Nov. 4 landslide between Weaver and Obey streets was extensive. Workers had to install new drains for groundwater that caused the slide, he said.

He estimated cleanup costs at $30,000.
