An Allegheny County judge on Thursday sentenced an Elizabeth Township man to three years probation for viewing child pornography.

Henry Benton South, 68, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of viewing child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.

Common Pleas Judge Jill E. Rangos said South must also register as a sex offender for 10 years. South pleaded guilty in exchange for prosecutors dropping 14 counts of viewing child pornography. South was technology director for McKeesport Area School District from 1993 until December, when he was suspended from the post.
