A former Cranberry EMS executive director will serve four years' probation for sexually assaulting a 19-year-old man last year.

Steve F. Tedesco Jr., 31, was sentenced Monday by Butler County Judge Timothy McCune to probation. In September, Tedesco pleaded guilty to a single count of indecent assault of an unconscious person.

According to a court affidavit, Evans City police accused Tedesco of sexually assaulting the man during a party in the borough in March 2011. Prosecutors also charged Tedesco with providing the man and two other underage males with alcohol, but those charges, along with other sexual assault offenses, were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

McCune ordered Tedesco to undergo counseling and perform 100 hours of community service.

Cranberry hired Tedesco as its EMS leader in 2010 after a national search. He was replaced last year after police filed charges.
