Power was restored by early Monday afternoon to a majority of the more than 2,000 First Energy customers across Western Pennsylvania who were without power in the morning, according to the company's website.

The website indicated there were as many as 200 customers still affected in areas including Scottdale, California, Washington, Butler, Beaver Falls and Lower Burrell. Outages were attributed to tree damage or other weather-related causes.

Restoration of service was expected by mid-afternoon, according to the site.

Duquesne Light did not report any power outages.
