Two found dead after fire breaks out in home in Industry

The Beaver County coroner will try to get dental records to help identify the two people found dead in a home that caught fire in Industry on Wednesday morning.
Neighbors in the 100 block of Boyanna Drive reported the fire shortly after 6 a.m., according to Chuck Ward, chief of the Industry Volunteer Fire Department.
The home was fully engulfed in flames when the first crew of firefighters arrived, he said.
“Residents at the scene said there might be somebody inside the home, but we could not send a crew in to investigate for several hours because of the danger posed by a partial collapse of the structure,” Ward said.
The fire, which destroyed the two-story brick building, was under control by about 10 a.m., he said.
A rescue team was allowed inside once an excavator removed debris and officials determined that the building was safe enough to enter, Ward said.
“Two people, a man and a woman, were recovered from the home, but at this time we are unable to positively identify them,” Coroner Terri Tatalovich-Rossi said.
An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday night to determine how the pair died, Tatalovich-Rossi said.
A Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal at the New Castle barracks is investigating the cause of the fire.
