'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Police are asking for help in locating an Amity man with dementia who has been missing for a day.

Dennis Kerr, 53, left an Amwell home at about 11:30 p.m. Friday to drive about five miles to his home, state police said.

Kerr, who is on medication for dementia, never returned home.

Kerr is about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs about 150 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a red and black Dale Earnhardt sweatshirt, a yellow and black Steelers hat and brown hiking boots. He was driving a gold 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer with Pennsylvania plates HNV-7350.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.
