A teen was shot Friday night in the Perry South neighborhood of the North Side.

Pittsburgh police were called to the 200 block of Kennedy Avenue around 9:50 p.m. and found a 13-year-old boy who had been shot in the stomach. The teen was conscious and alert and bleeding from the midsection, officers told dispatchers.

The boy was taken to Children's Hospital in Lawrenceville.
