Pittsburgh police on Sunday arrested a Beechview man on charges he struck and killed a pedestrian with his Ford Explorer overnight and drove off.

Paramedics found Sean Conroy, 25, of Munhall critically injured on Pioneer Avenue in Brookline about 2:20 a.m. They took him to UPMC Mercy, Uptown, where he died.

Police following evidence left at the scene located a damaged Explorer on Tropical Avenue, which they said Michael Rafaloski, 25, was driving. After interviewing him and testing him for alcohol use, officers charged him with vehicular homicide, DUI, driving without a license and related charges. He was in the Allegheny County Jail.
