Markleysburg man killed in Fayette County crash

A Fayette County man died Saturday when he drove off a road and struck a utility pole, state police in Uniontown said.

Fayette County EMS pronounced Chris D. McDonald, 54, of Markleysburg dead at the scene of the crash in Henry Clay Township at about 2:30 p.m.

Police said McDonald was driving a 1985 Chrysler Fifth Avenue south on Bruceton Road when, for unknown reasons, he drove off the right side of the road.

The car struck a utility pole and the car came to rest on its left side in the middle of the road. Police said he was not wearing a seatbelt.
