A Westmoreland County man caught half-naked by his wife while he was videotaping a 4-year-old girl dancing in their basement will face federal charges, according to court records unsealed Friday.

A federal grand jury last Tuesday indicted Thomas J. Deglau, 55, of Derry Township on six counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Deglau's wife, Sandra, reported the incident to Latrobe police and turned over the videotapes of the girl, whom the couple occasionally baby-sat. She told police that her husband wasn't wearing pants or underwear when he recorded the girl.

State police charged Deglau in January with five crimes including child pornography and aggravated indecent assault.
