New Castle woman dies 3 hours after crash

A Lawrence County woman died Monday of injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash in New Castle, a spokesman for the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said.

Viola Antonelli, 82, of New Castle, died at 11:07 a.m. at UPMC Presbyterian in Oakland, where she was taken following the crash that occurred three hours earlier on Moravia Street, the spokesman said.

Antonelli died of injuries to her trunk, the spokesman said.
