'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Traffic will stop periodically from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday on state Route 18 near the Beaver Valley Interchange with the Turnpike because of construction work.

The stoppages will last 15 minutes and affect traffic in both directions. Turnpike drivers will not be affected.

Crews will be removing girders from an old bridge that carried in the interchange ramps over Route 18. Traffic was recently switched onto the new bridge as part of the Beaver River Bridge replacement project.
