'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Residents invited to candidates forum

The Daily Courier has invited candidates whose names are on the ballot seeking the nomination for Connellsville mayor and council in the May 21 primary to a candidates forum.

The forum will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 22 in the auditorium of the Carnegie Free Library in Connellsville.

The public is encouraged to attend. The event will be set up as a forum, not a debate. The forum might help residents choose who they believe is best qualified to lead the city for the next four years.

Armstrong Cable will film the forum.
