Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, 6:45 p.m.

Indiana Borough police are asking anyone who had a pumpkin or jack-o-lantern stolen from their porch or sidewalk Sunday to contact the station.

After receiving a report about an unsuccessful pumpkin theft at a Locust Street residence about 10:45 p.m. Sunday, police received a description of the vehicle believed to be involved in the incident.

Police later located the vehicle along the 800 block of Wayne Avenue and found seven young men inside along with more than a dozen carved pumpkins and decorative jack-o-lanterns authorities believe were removed from area residences.

Citations are pending.

Anyone whose pumpkins or jack-o-lanterns were stolen can telephone 724-349-2121.
