A Washington man died Sunday when the motorcycle he was riding went off a roadway in West Bethlehem Township and struck a ditch, throwing him from the bike, Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said.

Victor J. Brova, 56, of East Beau Street, Washington, died of blunt force trauma to the head and neck after his Harley-Davidson motorcycle went off Weaver School Road from the northbound lane between 8 p.m. Saturday and 6:50 a.m. Sunday, Warco said.

The manner of death has been ruled accidental.

Brova traveled 90 feet and struck a ditch before coming to rest in a grassy area 51 feet away. Brova, who was thrown from the motorcycle, was found by a family friend after searching in the area.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:17 a.m.
