Michael R. Fornadley formerly of Pittsburgh Michael Robert Fornadley, 57, died Friday, June 22, 2012, at his home in Kill Devil Hills, N.C. He was born Sept. 3, 1954, in Pittsburgh, a son of Regina Micklos Schaffner, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., and Robert Joseph Fornadley, of Pittsburgh. Michael worked as a stained glass craftsman and owned a stained glass business in Pittsburgh for 15 years before moving to the Outer Banks in 1989. Upon moving to the area he opened MichaelQQQs Gems and Glass, still located in Corolla, N.C. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mary Fornadley; children, John Michael, Elisabeth Marie, Sarah Elisabeth and Michelle Tiffany Fornadley; and grandchildren, Amara Janae, Seth Michael and Isaac David Fornadley-Wilson. Also left behind are his siblings, Robert and Timothy Fornadley, Regina Wade and Stephanie Schaffner; and stepmother, Margaret Fornadley. He was preceded in death in 2009 by his stepfather, Charles Schaffner, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Liberty Christian Fellowship, 244 Williams Drive, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948.
