Cloah Masnick New Kensington Cloah (Moorhead) Masnick went to live with the Lord Sunday, July 22, 2012. Born Oct. 21, 1921, she grew up in the Arnold/New Kensington area. She married her childhood sweetheart, Ignatius Masnick, in 1942 and raised four children. She helped her husband run a shoe store in downtown Arnold in the early 1960s. After moving to Cleveland, Ohio, she worked for American Greetings for the next 20 years as a keyline operator as well as a model for several greeting cards. Upon retiring, she returned to live in Valley Heights and Lower Burrell. For her last 10 years, she lived a fulfilling and adventuresome life among the wonderful residents and staff of the Concordia Community in Cabot. At Concordia, she served for many years as a volunteer Hospice Angel. Well-liked by all at Concordia, she was the life of the party, a warm, loving companion and friend to all. She is survived by her four children, Jeffrey L. Masnick (Sue Ann Baldwin), of Lower Burrell, Keith Masnick (Saundra Jones), of Greensboro, N.C., Kim Masnick (Judy Stitt), of Ashville, N.C., and Catherine (Masnick) Barth (Steve Barth), of Columbus, Ohio. She has the following grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Carey (Masnick) and Jeff Pearl and their children, Tristan, Helena and Teague, Jeffrey A. and Mari Masnick and their children, Kiarra, Amaya and Jeffrey P., Jason and Donna Masnick and their children, Rebecca and Lucas, Jenifer (Masnick) and Jeffrey Fortner and child, Seth Lewis, Stephanie Barth and Craig Barth. Besides her parents, Carl and Cathrine Ricter Kurnicki Moorhead Sr., she was preceded in death by her husband, Ignatius A. Masnick; three sisters, Verla Moorhead, Janet Moorhead and Merrill Harkins; and two brothers, Carl Moorhead and Leroy Moorhead. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, followed by burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Lower Burrell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice Unit, Concordia Lutheran Ministries, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023-9988.
