Steve Jasensky

Ford City

Steve "Jansen" Jasensky, 79, of 508 Sixth St., Ford City, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001 at Arm-strong County Memorial Hos-pital, East Franklin Township.

He was born Dec. 26, 1921 in Ford City to Matthew and Anna Jasensky.

Mr. Jasensky was employed by PPG as a grinder and polisher.

A Navy veteran, he served during World War II.

He was a member of St. Francis of Paola Church in Ford City.

His other memberships included the Polish National Alliance.

He was a lifelong resident of Ford City.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Mary (Levcik) Jasensky; one son, Timothy Jasensky of Walton, Ky.; two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Loraine) Kohrs of Lebanon, Ohio and Mrs. Ted (Diane) Knowlton of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, Christine, Lance, Von, David, Joshua and Katie; and four sisters, Wanda Lux of Ford City, Josephine Fennel of Vandergrift, Carolyn Butters of Terre Haute, Ind. and Mrs. Steve (Mary Ann) Kasan of Ford City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Walter Jasensky; and one sister, Pauline Jasensky.

JASENSKY - Friends of Steve "Jansen" Jasensky, 79, of 508 Sixth St., Ford City, who died Dec. 4, 2001, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Mantini Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Thursday and a Prayer Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis of Paola Church, Ford City, with the Rev. Edward Lewis, officiating. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Arrangements by Mantini.
