Frank Hatalowich

Canonsburg

Frank Hatalowich, 90, of Monessen, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, in I.H.S. Greenery, Canonsburg. He was born Sept. 3, 1911, in Ella Hollow, a son of the late Michael and Anna Kohut Hatalowich. He was a member of St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church in Monessen, and had owned and operated the Monessen Taxi Service. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John (Nancy) Seman of Coal Center; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Hatalowich; a brother, George Hatalowich; two sisters, Stella Lorantas and Mary Homa; six grandchildren, Mark and Scott Seman, Gail McCall, Melanie Martin, Brad Hatalowich and Jerrod Hatalowich; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Meshula Hatalowich; a son, Frankie N. Hatalowich; and two brothers, William and Amil Hatalowich. Friends will be received at the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., a Golden Rule Funeral Home, 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Parastas in the funeral home Wednesday at 10 a.m., followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church with the Very Rev. Father John Horosky officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. A Parastas service will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
