Aina I. Anderson

Ligonier

Aina I. Anderson, 96, of Ligonier, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, in the Bethlen Home. She was born Sept. 7, 1905, in Sweden, a daughter of the late Julius and Blenda Petersdotter Petersson. She was a member of the Heritage United Methodist Church of Ligonier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gunnar Anderson, who died in 1988; and her daughter, Tina Elisabet Schober. She is survived by a son-in-law, Marshall "Bud" Schober of Ligonier; two grandsons, S. Scott (Linda) Schober of Sewickley, Pa., and Robert G. (Mary Ellen) Schober of Washington, Pa.; a granddaughter, Mrs. Robert W. (Tina) Thomas of Sewickley, Pa.; six great-grandchildren, Erik, Tyler, Elisa and Alexander Schober, and William and Kristina Thomas; and a niece, Ruth Richard of Carrboro, N.C. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. PAUL McCRACKEN FUNERAL CHAPEL INC., 144 E. Main St., Ligonier, where funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fred C. Vanderhoff and Rev. Benton McKee co-officiating. Interment in Ligonier Valley Cemetery, Ligonier, Pa. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Ligonier Valley Library.
