The New York Times reports that the United States is “laying the groundwork for operations to kill or capture militants implicated in the deadly attack on a diplomatic mission in Libya.” That's great news. And the account would be more accurate if The Times stopped sugarcoating things by using the word “militants.” They're terrorists. Call them that. ... The Obama campaign this week implored women to “vote like your lady parts depend on it.” We're still trying to confirm that it was removed from the president's official campaign website after Michelle threatened Barack with removing his “man parts.” Ahem. ... Vice President Joe Biden admits that the American middle class has been “buried” over the last four years. Incidentally, that coincides with the first (and we hope only) term of the Obama-Biden ticket. ... The PJ Tatler reports that prices for items such as paper, pencils and building materials could soar by up to 20 percent if the U.S. Green Building Council adopts a foreign-pushed standard for forestry lands. We're all for conservation; none of us are for suicide. ... The Weather Channel says it will start naming winter storms. The first three names will be Athena, Brutus and Caesar. And that's raised the ire of some, who actually complain that storm-naming must be coordinated with and/or by the federal government. Throw another log on the fire, honey, it's nuts out there.
