Letter to the editor: Why so mad, Artie Burns?
Artie Burns, from watching you play the last two seasons, one thing appears pretty clear: You were distracted in 2017. You played all season and had one interception.
From your recent comments about the national anthem protests ( “Steelers' Artie Burns compares NFL anthem policy to ‘bullying'” ), your mind must have been on your second career as an activist.
I am posing you a question that many Steelers fans may want answered: Why are you so mad? Think about these possible scenarios: 1. Are you mad at how many black men keep committing crimes that are likely the cause of racial profiling?
2. Are you mad at the police for doing their job, and you think they should just look the other way and not make any arrests?
You have to pick a reason but you must use actual facts. No change in your community will ever work until kids are taught at a young age not to follow what the adults are doing.
Be more worried about covering the outside receiver, defending the pass, making a tackle or getting an interception. It's been said that it's better to be seen and not heard. In your case though, being seen was really hard to watch, too.
