The American Experiment is dead. The citizens of the country killed it at the voting booth.

It died under the boot of the entitlement mentality and the idea that there is a free lunch out there somewhere.

It died in the need of its citizens to be relieved of personal accountability and responsibility; essentially, to be relieved of the burden of freedom.

It died in the desire of its citizens not to be above, not to be exceptional, but to be on par with other socialist countries.

It died because the citizens chose not to resist the transformation from capitalism to socialism.

It died because the citizens rejected a life of liberty, free will, responsibility, accountability and the idea that the government is the servant of the people.

It died because the citizens voted in favor of certainty, security, government as a father figure and the handout.

One day in the future, when America is dominated by other countries, when the ruling-class politicians and government workers are the only folks with money, responsible Americans will sit back dumbfounded and wonder how it all went so wrong.

The irresponsible ones will sit content; they no longer need to defend America's greatness, her exceptionalism.

R.I.P., America.
