Letter to the Editor
Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, 8:04 p.m.

With virtually every U.S. embassy in Africa and the Middle East under attack or threat thereof, the one place the State Department elects to save money is in Libya, by denying multiple requests from our consulate in Benghazi for increased protection because there are violent protests under way there! And that's at State, where the “smart” people are supposed to be.

How very deep incompetence has penetrated into our government.
