Problem not solved I

U.S. Sen. Bob Casey, U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey, U.S. Rep. Tim Murphy, et al., have failed us yet again. They've “kicked the can down the road” one more time. Examples: passing a one-year extension of the farm bill, the extension of the tax credit for renewable energy companies and other bizarre spending on NASCAR and TV productions.

Economic growth cannot occur until and without control of spending. Ours is not a revenue problem; it is a spending problem. The interest on the debt alone will absorb the necessary capital private industry needs to grow and create jobs, thus increasing revenue.

Feel-good politicians have not averted a fiscal cliff; they've torturously managed to extend the inevitable — more jobs will vanish — recession leading to a depression that no amount of drugs (spending more money) will solve.

Look out, America! You may have gotten what you voted for.
