Fairest border policy

Apparently, the Obama administration is trying very hard to reform our current immigration policies. According to the president, the most important part of the legislation is that it be fair.

What could be more fair than for the U.S. to mirror Mexico's immigration policy? If you enter Mexico illegally, you go to jail.

Sounds fair to me.
