Colin McNickle did an excellent job in his column “Oh, the disenfranchisement!” (March 17 and TribLIVE.com) challenging Common Cause on its contention that waiting lines on Election Day are too long.

Common Cause's proposal of extending the voting time for a week before Election Day opens up a whole list of possible fraud opportunities.

This early voting must include some voter identification system involving people, money and facilities. This additional cost is not mentioned by Common Cause.

I have some good advice for the progressives who think they wait too long: To avoid standing in long lines, vote only once in each election!
