Letter to the Editor
Saturday, March 30, 2013, 9:00 p.m.

The current budget debate being held at large (and by the media in particular) continues to mischaracterize tax deductions as tax loopholes . I can't imagine that this is an honest mistake; it's certainly not a well-informed one.

Is this a deliberate attempt to muddle the debate on the part of those who do (or should) know better? It certainly serves that end quite well.

The distinction between the two isn't that difficult, folks. I kill bugs for a living, and I know the difference.
