'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Liberals' unfairness

“You Jews are egoists when you claim a special emancipation for yourselves as Jews. ... The social emancipation of the Jew is the emancipation of society from Judaism.” — Karl Marx, “On the Jewish Question,” 1843.

This statement, made by the liberal working-class hero himself, is quite significant in regard to the current scandals (IRS, Department of Justice/Associated Press/James Rosen). American liberty is under attack from a politically corrupt liberal administration. These cases of political persecution might sound eerily similar to the National Socialist (Nazi) Party's treatment of Jews.

These scandals are simply following suit with the years of hypocrisy within the left wing. Liberals, socialists, communists (or whatever one chooses to call them) for years have been winning the hearts of the people by speaking false claims of equality, fairness, workers' rights, etc. However, as we saw with European socialists' unequal treatment of Jews, we are seeing American liberals' unfair treatment of anything associated with the opposition.

Liberals advocate for freedom of speech and religion. However, what they really desire is freedom of “progressive” speech and a secular state purged of religion.

By silencing the tea party, they can be one step closer to their end game, the emancipation of society from conservatism. In coming weeks, liberals will paint the right wing as “egoists” looking for special treatment out of these scandals.

But what conservatives want isn't special treatment; all they wish for is equal treatment.
