'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Letter to the Editor
Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, 9:00 p.m.

President Obama, protected by his color and his minions in the press/media and liberal congressmen, has survived many scandals that would have brought any Republican president to an impeachment trial. Conservatives must be realistic, however. Obama will not be impeached and he knows it.

There is a way to slow his socialist agenda. If we cannot remove him, take away his Democrat-controlled Senate.

If Republicans can win control of the Senate in the 2014 elections, we can begin to undo the damage Obama has inflicted on the country.

Punish Democrat candidates for Obama's transgressions. It will send a clear message.

Whom do liberal congressmen fear more? Obama or the voters?
