Essential read

My family came from Pennsylvania. Keystone State happenings, particularly of the political variety, are fascinating reads. Salena Zito is an essential read in that space.

She writes with clarity and objectivity. Her column “Obama showcases his failure” (Aug. 25 and TribLIVE.com) is one of her best. She was able to capture the debates of the present by contrasting them to the arguments, results and reality of the past.

She proves that in public policy and politics, it makes no sense to step twice on the same rusty nail. She clears the air. She is the best.

Frank Keating

The writer, a former two-term governor of Oklahoma, is president and CEO of the American Bankers Association (aba.com).
