Letter to the Editor
Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, 9:00 p.m.

We were told by the people in Harrisburg who were pushing casinos that they would reduce our property taxes.

Well, I see very little of that, but I do see a lot of the money going to Pittsburgh International Airport to make up for what it lost when US Airways screwed it.

I see that our great governor is giving $500,000 to the Allegheny Land Trust to help purchase the Pittsburgh Cut Flower Co. property.

I also see that our great state Sen. Randy Vulakovich, R-Shaler, announced $500,000 for Aspinwall to improve a park entryway.

Why aren't they seeing to it that the gambling money goes where it was promised — for tax relief?

Oh, I forgot: Never believe what people in politics say.

Taxpayers should raise hell about this.
