'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Time to move on

A friend of mine just got health care for himself, his wife and their young child for the first time.

The price was finally achievable for them under the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare). It did take over an hour online, but he said he would have waited all day.

I wouldn't want to be the first Republican to tell him to give it back. With apologizes to spoiled children, Republicans are acting like spoiled children with their meaningless votes against ObamaCare.

The people spoke with their vote in the last presidential election and the Supreme Court validated the law with its decision.
