'American Coyotes' Series

Watch your words

The VND recently printed prominent headlines on two stories, “2 districts here ‘screwed' out of funds” (Oct. 6) and “Parks man gets dragged by his crotch” (Oct. 8). I cannot forget looking at the paper and seeing the words. Even the guys where my son works were disgusted.

I know the times have changed, but such trash talk should not be expressed so publicly.

The editors are educated and could have used words more acceptable to everyone who reads the paper, the bulk of whom are older.
