Valid comparison?

Let's see: Both are conservative to the extreme. Both are religious fundamentalists with a strong dose of misogyny thrown in, plus a strain of jingoism, with a dash of demagoguery to enhance the flavor. Both insist on recognizing religious zealotry in the application of the political process.

And finally, both resist any type of compromise in the application of either political or religious ideals.

Yes, I suppose it is true. The tea party really is — America's Taliban!
