Letter to the Editor
Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, 9:00 p.m.

Robert Jedrzejewski's letter “Less austerity; more fairness” makes reference to my letter “Good intentions, bad results.”

Says Jedrzejewski, “Mr. Raymond describes ‘entitlement recipients' as being demoralized by ‘massive government spending, redistributing wealth, new taxes and more regulations.' Say what?”

The problem here is Mr. Jedrzejewski read my letter as edited by the VND.

As stated in the original, the central point of my letter was “massive government spending, the redistribution of wealth, new taxes and more government regulations have not helped the unemployed and the poor.”
