In response to Kathy Kapalka's letter “Paying for ObamaCare” : Medicare was a blessing for me and my wife.

I was working full time until May 31, 2013. I had company-sponsored insurance via Blue Cross Blue Shield, paying $960 per month for a basic plan with no dental or vision coverage. I am now on Medicare with my wife and we each are paying monthly $104 for Medicare part B and $36 for supplemental coverage via UPMC.

You can see the savings of $680 per month. So, please do not trash Medicare. I am thankful Medicare is available. I have read that ObamaCare has slowed down the rising costs of health care, but all you hear is the bashing.
