I wholeheartedly agree with Harriet Burress' letter “Here, not there”. The litter in our state is appalling.

One way we could alleviate the problem is to enforce the littering fines. I visit Oregon quite often, where they do enforce the fines, and there is very little litter around. If there were a toll-free number for reporting littering, I think that would help.
