Recently, our group of eight ladies had a birthday lunch at a restaurant in Leechburg. Our experience was delightful — until we returned to our cars to find costly parking tickets. What a shock!

We all had inserted multiple quarters into the meters beforehand. However, signs for parking were obscured.

The police officer proudly informed us he had written over 40 tickets that day and was only following borough law. Perhaps borough government should rethink its money-making operation.

We discovered we are not welcome in Leechburg. Maybe in next year's election, Leechburg voters will choose officials who will thoughtfully resolve such problems and welcome back visitors and paying customers.
