'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

I'm writing in regard to the Miami Herald opinion cartoon the VND published on July 19. The cartoon depicts Palestinian men, women and children wearing T-shirts with targets printed on them and one is saying, “Hamas loves the people of Gaza! They even gave us free T-shirts.”

That cartoon was in poor taste. Every day is life under fire in God's country, Israel, and the civilian loss of lives has been deplorable. And worse, you printed the cartoon on Saturday, the Sabbath. That is to be a holy day.

Blessed be Adonai, the God of Israel, from eternity past to eternity future (Chronicles 16:36).
