Letter to the Editor

I'm writing in regard to all of the commercials stating that people need to “drink responsibly.” How about an ad about not drinking while taking care of children?

One cannot be a responsible parent if intoxicated. If someone is going to drink, that person needs to ask a family member to watch his/her child.

There are so many instances in today's world associated with drinking and abusing children and drinking and driving with children in the vehicle. As an adult, that person may be having fun drinking, but his or her child is probably not enjoying it.
