'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Five WPIAL basketball games featuring local teams were postponed Tuesday night because of inclement weather throughout the region.

The Ford City, Kittanning, Elderton and West Shamokin boys basketball teams were scheduled to play section games. All have been rescheduled for 7:30 tonight.

Ford City hosts Freeport, Kittanning will be at home against Deer Lakes, Elderton entertains Leechburg, and West Shamokin travels to Springdale.

Kittanning's girls basketball team's game at Jeannette was postponed last night. The Wildcats will travel to Jeannette on Jan. 27.
