'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Duquesne guard Tra'Vaughn White has been granted his release and will transfer elsewhere, men's basketball coach Jim Ferry said Thursday.

White averaged 7.4 points and 16.6 minutes in his one season with the Dukes. The 5-foot-10 junior started eight of the first nine games after arriving from Independence Community College in Kansas but came off the bench in the final 21.
