Duquesne men's basketball opens season Nov. 15

The Duquesne men's basketball team will open its 2014-15 season Nov. 15 against Bluefield State at Palumbo Center, part of an 11-game, nonconference schedule released Wednesday.

Seven are home games for the Dukes. Also visiting Palumbo Center will be New Jersey Institute of Technology on Nov. 29, Howard on Dec. 2, St. Francis (Pa.) on Dec. 17, UMass Lowell on Dec. 20, Maryland Eastern Shore on Dec. 28 and Texas-Pan American on Dec. 30.

The road dates include a Nov. 22 trip to Abilene Christian in Texas along with games at Penn State on Dec. 10 and Robert Morris on Dec. 13. The neutral-site City Game with Pitt is Dec. 5 at Consol Energy Center.

Duquesne also scheduled a Nov. 7 exhibition with Shippensburg at Palumbo Center.
