Penn State on Friday continued its control of the state when it comes to Class of 2015 recruiting, landing Philadelphia defensive back John Reid.

Reid, from St. Joseph's Prep, made a verbal commitment Friday evening.

Rivals.com ranks Reid as a four-star recruit, the No. 10 defensive back in the country for his class and the second-best overall prospect in Pennsylvania.

Penn State has secured the state's top five 2015 recruits, as rated by Rivals, and 12 of their 19 verbal commitments are rated four stars.
