Pitt will return to prime time Saturday — this time on ABC-TV (locally WTAE-4) — when Notre Dame comes to Heinz Field.

The Panthers (4-4) have lost three of their past four games but will have played three of four at night when Notre Dame (7-2) comes to town for the 8 p.m. kickoff.

Pitt opened the season against Florida State in a prime-time ESPN game on Labor Day.

Pitt must finish 2-2 in its final four games to become bowl eligible.

Notre Dame moved into the Associated Press Top 25 at No. 24 this week.
