Pitt's Donald named All-ACC 1st team; Boyd, Street 2nd-team selections
Senior defensive tackle Aaron Donald was named Monday to the All-ACC first team, leading a contingent of six Pitt football players honored in the Panthers' first season in the conference.
Freshman wide receiver Tyler Boyd was named to the second team, while senior wide receiver Devin Street was a third-team selection. Honorable-mention honors went to safeties Ray Vinopal and Jason Hendricks and guard Matt Rotheram.
Donald, a finalist for the Bednarik and Lombardi awards and Nagurski and Outland trophies, leads the nation with an average of 2.2 tackles for a loss per game and is second in active career sacks (281⁄2).
Boyd led Pitt in receptions and receiving yards (77 and 1,001) and had seven touchdown catches. Street, who missed two games and most of a third with injuries, became the all-time leading pass catcher in Pitt history (202), and he totaled 51 catches for 854 yards and seven touchdowns for the season.
