Pitt lands transfer running back from Stony Brook

Running back Jameel Poteat said he is transferring from Stony Brook to Pitt where he will sit out this season and be eligible for one year in 2015.

Poteat, who played at Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, rushed for 227 yards at Cincinnati in 2011-12.

He committed to Pitt in 2010 before Dave Wannstedt was fired.
