Pitt received its first 2015 commitment from outside Pennsylvania on Wednesday when Hallandale, Fla., cornerback Malik Henderson reported on his Twitter account that he plans to join the Panthers.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Henderson is rated a two-star prospect by Rivals.com. He chose Pitt over offers from Arkansas, Indiana, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Massachusetts and Alcorn State.

Henderson couldn't be reached for comment.

Pitt has four verbal commitments from the Class of 2015, including Canon-McMillan offensive lineman Alex Paulina, Kittanning tight end Nick Bowers and Altoona linebacker Kevin Givens.
