'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Pitt received another commitment from a Class of 2015 on Saturday when quarterback Alex Hornibrook of Malvern Prep told coaches he will enroll next year.

Hornibrook (6-foot-4, 210 pounds) also has offers from Rutgers, Connecticut, Akron, Colgate, Fordham, Lafayette and Yale. He is ranked as a three-star prospect by Rivals.com. He committed while visiting Pitt's practice facility during its prospect camp.

Pitt also has verbal commitments from cornerback Malik Henderson (Hallandale Beach, Fla.), Altoona linebacker Kevin Givens, Kittanning tight end Nick Bowers and Canon-McMillan offensive lineman Alex Paulina.
